Our advocate volunteers work countless hours to make a difference in the lives of the children they serve. This event is an opportunity for Child Advocates to honor, encourage and appreciate our court-appointed advocate volunteers.
Each year we present two awards:
James A. Gwinn Volunteer of the Year award (JAG), Child Advocates' highest honor, celebrates a volunteer who has shown independence, the ability to work with everyone on a case and who is instrumental in their casework.
Rookie of the Year award (ROY), honors a new volunteer who proves to be a valuable asset to Child Advocates within their first year as a court-appointed advocate.
