Annual Events

We understand that you have a choice when it comes to selecting which organizations to support with your time and your dollars. While not everyone chooses to become a court-appointed advocate, you can make a significant impact for Houston's abused children through our annual events. We rely on community partners like you to make these events possible through your sponsorships and volunteer efforts.

	Chevron Houston Marathon January - Choose Child Advocates as your Run for a Reason charity or come cheer on the runners at our hoopla station! Email Hayley for more details and information.
	Car Pros for Kids February - Make a qualifying donation to Child Advocates in February and receive two complimentary oil changes at participating auto shops. Terms apply. Find more details here.
	Pull for Kids Classic April - Join us for our largest annual fundraiser! The sporting clays tournament kicks off in the morning, featuring fun games, great food, and giveaways. Why Get Involved?

Our children. Children of all ages, races and socioeconomic backgrounds. Children with irresistible grins, vivid imaginations and incredible potential. All of them sharing one unfortunate trait — each one has been a victim of life-threatening abuse or neglect.

Our volunteers. Busy would be an understatement. They make dinner, entertain clients, drive carpool, walk the dog, hit the gym, coach soccer, manage employees, take vacations and watch reality television – just like everybody else. What sets them apart is that, despite their busy lives, they make time to volunteer as a court appointed advocate and impact the lives of abused children.

Our reputation. Since 1984, we have emerged as a leader in the ongoing fight against child abuse. We have built a solid reputation as a diligent steward of your funds. Our cost-effective volunteer advocacy model allows us to provide necessary services to children in custody with minimal expenses.

Our need. We are a private non-profit organization. This means that your donation is absolutely critical to the existence of our program.
