Child Advocates' Young Professionals for Children is a group of like-minded professionals who provide events and activities for the kids Child Advocates serves. Last Saturday, February 11, YPC hosted a Valentine's Day party for more than 60 of our kids!
The YMCA in downtown opened their doors to host, and more than 20 volunteers gave of their weekend to help shower Houston's abused and neglected kids with love. Each child was able to make a play-doh creation, play with a hula hoop and design their own Valentine for someone special. One of our volunteers even got sweet hugs from little guest.
A Valentine's Day party wouldn't be complete without sweet treats, so there were plenty of cookies for everyone in addition to lunch which was generously provided by Whataburger. The snacks provided just enough energy to complete the complete the party by dancing the Cupid Shuffle.
A huge thank you to the YMCA, Whataburger and YPC for making Houston's littlest victims feel extra loved this Valentine's Day!
