Saturday, May 6, 2017 Child Advocates will host their largest annual fundraiser, the Pull for Kids Classic. Now in it's 25th year, the Pull for Kids includes a sporting clays tournament and an evening party complete with live, silent and big board auctions. Chaired by Jeannie and Nolan Lehmann, this year's "State Fair" themed event will honor longtime Pull for Kids supporters Gary Forbes and his late wife Evelyn, Joan & Jim Prentice and Charlene & John Storms.

The morning "shoot" will begin at 8 AM at American Shooting Centers, and the evening party will kick off at 6:30 PM at Bayou City Event Center. Patrons can browse the silent and big board auctions while they sip cocktails. After dinner, Child Advocates will share about their mission of helping abused and neglected children find safe and permanent homes before beginning the live auction filled with memorable trips and experiences.

In 2016, the Pull for Kids raised more than $720,000 for Child Advocates and the fight against child abuse. This year, Child Advocates and the Pull for Kids team has a goal to raise over $775,000. The money raised will go towards the fight against child abse and will give a volunteer advocate to children in foster care. Sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from a $600 patron sponsor to the $50,000 title sponsor.

Child Advocates hopes that with the support of the community, the Pull for Kids can commemorate their silver anniversary milestone by raising more funds than ever and ensuring that more advocate volunteers can help more of Houston's littlest victims.
