Our advocate volunteers come from all walks of life. Some are retired, some are lawyers, some are stay-at-home parents and entrepreneurs. All it takes is a little bit of a time and a whole lot of heart, and court appointed advocate Kristi Grizzle is a shining example of just that!
Kristi is a Principal Structural Engineer and the Higher Education Market Sector Leader for Walter P Moore. She has played a crucial role in the engineering of George R. Brown convention center, as well as the Rice University Music and Performing Arts Center. When she's off the clock, Kristi is an avid dancer, swimmer, triathlete and a true champion for Houston's abused children.
This year, Kristi was named to not just one "40 under 40" list, but TWO! In April of 2017 she was honored by the Houston Business Journal, and in September she was designated as one of Building Design & Construction's "40 under Forty", and proudly listed her involvement with Child Advocates in both publications.
We are thrilled to congratulate Kristi on her accomplishments! We can't wait to see how her dedication and enthusiasm, both in her career and volunteer work, continue to make an impact for Houston.
