RE: Child Advocates Announces the 2019 Angels of Hope Luncheon and Fashion Presentation
Release Date: April 1, 2019
Location: Houston, Texas

Child Advocates is delighted to honor longtime court appointed advocate, supporter, and Child Advocates board member, Jane Dabney, at its 21st annual Angels of Hope Luncheon and Fashion Presentation. Chaired by her dear friend Wendy Wilkins Burks, and hosted by the Friends of Child Advocates, this year’s luncheon will take place on Wednesday, December 4, with a fresh look and new location at the beautiful Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston.

The event begins at 11:30 AM with lunch and will feature a salute to the honoree and a fashion presentation by Neiman Marcus Houston, titled “The Art of Fashion”, showcasing a variety of ready-to-wear and couture designs from its 2020 Spring collections.

The expected luncheon crowd of over 600 guests will have an opportunity to learn more from the honoree and a special guest speaker about the direct impact Child Advocates is making for abused and neglected children in Houston. And, guests will round out the event with opportunities to win extraordinary raffle items or shop in the Neiman Marcus pop-up in the lobby. The afternoon is sure to get you in the holiday spirit while raising much-needed funds for Child Advocates.

Honoree Jane Dabney has been committed to Child Advocates for over 13 years. She currently serves on the board and is a former member of the advisory board. She is a lifetime member of the Friends of Child Advocates and has witnessed firsthand the need for the organization through her work as a court appointed advocate. Jane has been an active supporter of the Angels of Hope luncheon for more than a decade, and, together with luncheon chair, Wendy Wilkins Burks, their goal is to raise more than $500,000 for Child Advocates. The funds raised will assist in recruiting, training and mobilizing court appointed advocates to speak up for Houston’s abused and neglected children.

Tickets for this year’s luncheon begin at $300, with tables ranging from $3,000 - $50,000. To purchase tickets, tables, or a runway table at the Angels of Hope Luncheon, or to learn more about The Friends of Child Advocates and how you can get involved, click here.
