Child Advocates' Young Professionals for Children hosted their Summer Pub Crawl on Saturday, July 29. More than 40 guests enjoyed beverages and cocktails while celebrating summer season. The event raised funds for our YPC group's Childrens Events and brought awareness of Child Advocates mission.
The group visit four different pubs through the afternoon: Little Woodrow's, Dogwood, Pub Fiction and Irish Cowboy. The participating pubs helped support Child Advocates by offering drink specials just for Pub Crawl ticket-holders, and some even donated a portion of the sale back to Child Advocates. Staff members from several of the bars even joined in and fully embraced the Hawaiian theme with their own version of the Hula dance.
Everyone who attended received a YPC swag bag, complete with a lei, t-shirt and color-changing cup. The bags also held instructions for a Facebook photo challenge, which invited everyone to form teams and complete funny and entertaining tasks. The team from sponsor Carrizo Oil & Gas took home the $100 gift card grand prize.
YPC has several more events happening throughout the fall, and there is still plenty of time to get involved! Click here to become a member, or email Christine for more information.
