Brenna Kody first became a court appointed advocate in 2017 when she took her first case and began her journey of bringing hope for a better future to abused children in Houston. She has served on four cases so far, two currently open simultaneously. As a court appointed advocate, Brenna has provided consistency to the children on her cases. When parents have not had the stability necessary to make sound decisions or provide for the needs of their kids, Brenna has been present to offer emotional support, guidance and an adult figure who could be counted on.
“Brenna talks to everyone”, her advocacy coordinator, Victoria Chapman, said about her. She is in constant communication with the teachers, parents and children that she has committed to advocating for. Brenna has truly been committed to going the extra mile as an advocate volunteer. Her dedication to the children she serves has been evident, and she always goes above and beyond to ensure their well-being.
These outstanding efforts have led Brenna to be named our September “Volunteer of the Month”! Congratulations, Brenna, and thank you for all you do to make a difference in the lives of Houston’s abused and neglected children.
