Make a Traditional Gift
Whether you’re an individual, corporation or foundation – Child Advocates has a giving opportunity to fit your philanthropic needs.
Monetary and In-kind Donations Each contribution - large or small - brings us a step closer to fulfilling our mission. In-kind donations can offset our costs for recruiting, training and supervising volunteers - ultimately allowing us to better serve the children. Contact Us.
Honorarium It's an age-old question - what do you get the girl who has everything? Consider honoring the birthdays and anniversaries of your loved ones with a gift to Child Advocates in their name. Contact Us.
Memoriam Keep a friend of loved one’s giving spirit alive through a donation in their name. In place of flowers, consider giving to Child Advocates in memory of a loved one. Contact Us.
Planned Giving A planned gift to Child Advocates - by way of your will, estate, stocks and financial holdings or endowment gifts - will help ensure the services and programs we provide to abused children will continue into the future - and may even further your financial goals. Contact Us.
Corporate and Organizational Sponsorship Opportunities Whether your company or organization has $2,000 or $200,000 charitable dollars set aside - we have an opportunity for you to get involved. Become a title sponsor for one of our annual fundraising events; provide a year's worth of funding for the training manuals used during Advocacy University volunteer training; underwrite our program services for a sibling group in foster care. Or let us tailor a specific program to your company's budget and philanthropic needs. We welcome the opportunity to sit down with you to discuss potential sponsorship possibilities. Contact Us.
Foundation Donations Each year, grants from foundations account for approximately 30% percent of Child Advocates' operating budget. This represents not only a substantial - but also a critical - source of funding for our organization. Foundations have the opportunity to support our court program, volunteer training program or general operating support. Trustees interested in endowment opportunities may prefer to restrict their grant to the Child Advocates' Endowment, making a gift that lasts in perpetuity. Child Advocates also offers naming opportunities and welcomes challenge grants. Contact Us.
"Benefiting Child Advocates" Many generous businesses, organizations - and even individuals - have chosen Child Advocates to benefit from their self-organized special events and efforts. If you have an idea for a fundraiser to be held by your group and are looking for a great beneficiary, consider helping to provide court appointed advocates for some of Houston's least fortunate citizens by selecting Child Advocates to receive the proceeds. Community Giving
Give - without actually "giving" at all. Child Advocates benefits from several community giving programs, and we need your help to make them successful!

Shop on-line

Doing some online shopping?
Try BuyforCharity.com and designate Child Advocates to receive a portion of the proceeds. From office products to vacation packages and everything in between, as your charity of choice, Child Advocates will receive a portion of the proceeds of your purchase at no additional cost to you. Click here to get set up.

Time to resell?
Use eBay’s Giving Works or MissionFish.org and designate Child Advocates, Inc. to receive a portion of all the items you sell and buy on-line.

Need a service provider for you home?
We have partnered with a local company called SchoolHouse Partners. They connect people to qualified, pre-screened service providers and fund public and private schools at the same time. There is no fee to use this service ... you get a discount on services provided that you don't receive if you call the provider directly … and 20% of what SchoolHouse Partners earns from billed and collected invoices will be contributed to Child Advocates on every transaction you have with these providers.  Make sure to designate Child Advocates as your beneficiary at www.myschoolhousepartners.com/.

Matching Gifts Many employers have matching-gifts programs - does yours? Employers will often match any monetary gift an employee makes or make a monetary donation for each volunteer hour the employee gives to the community. Just by letting us know if your company offers such programs, you will help. Contact Us.

Kroger Share Card If you shop at Kroger, this is the perfect opportunity for you to help support Child Advocates. The Kroger “neighbor to neighbor” program allows you to link your Kroger Plus Card to CAI. All you have to do is print and present this document (barcode is specific to Child Advocates) to the cashier, who will scan your Kroger Plus card and the Child Advocates barcode and 'voila' - CAI will benefit every time you shop at Kroger! Pass this on to friends and family!

Randall's Remarkable Card Your Randall’s Remarkable Card will not only save you money, but also gives you the opportunity to support Child Advocates when you link your card to the Good Neighbor Program and designate Child Advocates as your selected charity. If you already have a Remarkable Card, simply sign up for the program at any Randall’s courtesy booth. If you do not, complete a Remarkable application, check off the Good Neighbor Program box and designate Child Advocates as your charity. Our Good Neighbor Program number is #2383. Contact Us.

Gilbert and Rachel’s Closet – Our Special Needs Program
Gilbert and Rachel were the first children served by Child Advocates in 1984. You can make a direct impact on the life of an abused child by providing support through Gilbert and Rachel’s Closet – our special needs program. Your monetary donation will be used to provide basic essentials to the children we serve: eyeglasses, bunk beds, car seats, clothing, linens, or even special items such as birthday cakes, scholarships or camp for the children we serve. Gilbert and Rachel’s closet also accepts donations of NEW toys and children’s clothing (covering sizes from birth to 18-years-old) to keep the closet stocked. Contact Us.
